Lawmakers have introduced AB 416, a bill aimed at safeguarding Nevadans’ access to materials in public libraries and ensuring the freedom to read and the freedom of library staff to manage library content without any political or ideological interference. The bill introduces criminal penalties for attempts to intimidate or harm others in relation to library materials in public schools, public libraries, library districts, and institutions of higher education.
