Nevada is taking a significant step toward ending the sale of dogs and cats in retail pet stores. Assembly Bill 487, known as “Cindy Lou’s Law,” is now under consideration in the Senate.
The White House is planning to release a proposal that would claw back already approved public media funding. If Congress agrees, local public stations — including KUNR Public Radio — could lose critical support immediately.
