The Nevada Senate has passed a bill aimed at reducing plastic pollution around Lake Tahoe.
The White House is planning to release a proposal that would claw back already approved public media funding. If Congress agrees, local public stations — including KUNR Public Radio — could lose critical support immediately.
These cuts put at risk the programs, reporting, and community outreach that make local public media a trusted part of Americans’ daily life.
