Lawmakers have introduced AB 416, a bill aimed at safeguarding Nevadans’ access to materials in public libraries and ensuring the freedom to read and the freedom of library staff to manage library content without any political or ideological interference. The bill introduces criminal penalties for attempts to intimidate or harm others in relation to library materials in public schools, public libraries, library districts, and institutions of higher education. -
The bill would add certain street foods to the list of homemade food products that are sold and prepared outside of a commercial kitchen. The list includes corn on the cob, aguas frescas, or fresh cut fruit—street foods popular in Mexico and Latin America. -

On Tuesday, Senators Catherine Cortez Masto and Jacky Rosen announced $24 million in funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to extend the popular Tahoe East Shore Trail. -
The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency and the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California received $3.4 million as part of a 5-year grant to improve the health of Lake Tahoe.
