The White House issued an executive order Thursday night instructing the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to prohibit federal funding to NPR and PBS.
CPB — a private nonprofit corporation — responded Friday morning stating it’s “not a federal executive agency subject to the President’s authority.”

After a brief hiatus, the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival returns to its full capacity starting June 28. -
The long horn is originally from the Swiss Alps, but its rich tune will be coming to the mountains around Lake Tahoe in the summer and fall.
