President Trump is asking lawmakers to claw back the $1.1 billion in federal subsidies for public broadcasting that Congress approved earlier this year. His request also includes cuts to foreign aid.
President Trump formally asked Congress on Tuesday to claw back $1.1 billion in already approved funding to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. That funding was approved to support public radio and television stations like KUNR over the next two years.
